Special Services

Acoustic Shabbat

“Those who sing in this world sing also in the next.” — Talmud, Sanhedrin

Come participate in a special Erev Shabbat service featuring instrumental accompaniment and a blend of ancient, traditional, and contemporary Jewish music. Through the music of this service, you’ll find connections to the spirit of our holy liturgy, allowing you to pray with your heart, your feet, your hands, and your body, even as the music of the prayers crosses your lips. Lift your voice in song and help create the spirit of holiness that is Shabbat! ALL are welcome!

Mishpacha Shabbat

Led by Rabbi Barton, this is an intentionally family-friendly shortened Erev Shabbat service. The service is generally followed by a potluck or catered dinner.

Contemplative Service

This is a special 45 minute Shabbat morning meditative service that includes learning, singing, English readings and discussion. This peaceful practice is appropriate — and enjoyable! — for all ages. Torah Service follows at 10:15 a.m. Shabbat Shalom!

Tot Shabbat & Junior Congregation

Tot Shabbat & Junior Congregation meet one Saturday morning per month (during the school year) at 10:30 a.m. Tot Shabbat provides an opportunity for parents and children to celebrate Shabbat together, while Junior Congregation is Tifereth Israel’s supplement to the Jewish education offered by Beit Sefer Shalom for children in 3th – 6th grade.
