Rabbi Michael Gilboa has served at congregations in Kansas, California, and Michigan. Before becoming a rabbi, he worked as a synagogue administrative assistant, a teacher, and a Birthright Israel tour guide. He was a co-founder of The Footpath, the first online Introduction to Judaism program approved by the Conservative movement. Rabbi Gilboa is known for his enterprising spirit and his deep love of Jewish texts. He is a Des Moines native with multigenerational ties to central Iowa. He has lived in Iowa with his wife and three kids for many years. When he is not working, Rabbi Gilboa enjoys travel, writing, and home improvement. Rabbi Gilboa can be reached at rabbi@tifereth.org.
